Welcome to the Department of Chemistry

Chemistry is unique among the sciences because of the emphasis placed on developing a molecular-level understanding of scientific phenomena.The Department of Chemistry has been a constituent part of this University's Department of Basic and Applied Science from 2019-2024. In February 2024, the department has got separate existence in the University. Presently Department has well-equipped laboratories to cater the needs of postgraduate studentsThe department is well-recognized for its apex level infrastructure and in process of upgradation of various facilities continuously.The Department offers a vibrant atmosphere to nurture the spirit of scientific inquiry and to pursue cutting-edge research in a highly encouraging environment.The department is devoted to create a center of excellence for training, research and development in science in rural Haryana.It also provides a platform to students for mutual sharing of thoughts and knowledge of highly moral, ethical, and professional standards.All academic programmes are designed and administered, with adequate depth and width within the extended views of Chemistry.The department has well equipped computer labfunded by RUSA and CURIE grant based upon the latest technologies pertaining to different sectors. These facilities are also made accessible to other departments of the University and department also shares various central facilities of University. The department regularly organizes seminars/ conferences and invited talks by eminent scientists/researchers from various universities/research institutes

Alumniof department are pursuing higher education as well as successful careers in Research and Development and financial institutions.It is indeed a pleasure to report that alumni of the department are holding key positions in the industry and academic institutions.The department has innovative, multi-disciplinary, research-based group of faculties and non-teaching staff that develops scientific temperament and procedures to educate the next generation students.
